| primary requirements : | 1. Must have the appropriate qualifications. 2. Must be able to receive your Registered Nurse registration from the Nursing Council of New Zealand. 3. Must be able to receive your annual practising certificate from the Nursing Council of New Zealand. 4. Must have at least two or more years relevant experience. 5. Able and willing to participate in a graduate nurse programme or return to nursing programme. 6. Excellent English and communications skills. 7. Must be able to work in a culturally appropriate manner and have a working knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi. 8. Full, current and clean NZ drivers licence or a licence from a country recognised by Land Transport Authority. 9. Previous experience working in a multi disciplinary team desired. 10. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. 11. Good computer skills. 12. Good problem solving skills. 13. Ability to prioritise activities. 14. Effective interpersonal skills. 15. Ability to work as part of a team. 16. Ability to manage stress. 17. Sense of humour. 18. Able and willing to commit at least two years to our client. 19. Able to work together in a collaborative manner. 20. Able to work smarter by being innovative and proactive. 21. Accept responsibility for your actions. 22. Prepared to undertake other duties as reasonably requested by line manager. |
| primary duties : | 1.Utilise your nursing knowledge and skills to provide safe nursing care to patients who have complex needs 2.Assist other nurses in providing complex nursing care to patients 3.Apply your critical thinking skills to observe, detect and report relevant issues in complex situations and make reliable decisions regarding the management of nursing care autonomously. 4.Contribute to the nursing team development, leadership and knowledge base. 5.Demonstrate professional responsibility, complying with policies and procedures and nursing philosophy. 6.Accept responsibility for ensuring that his/her nursing practice and conduct meet the standards of the professional, ethical and legal requirements 7.Access internet based resources for clinical management, service and community development and own professional development and networks as a rural nurse 8.Demonstrate the ability to apply the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi to nursing practice 9.Demonstrates accountability for directing, monitoring and evaluating nursing care that is provided by nurse assistants, enrolled nurses and others, and utilises more experienced RNs to assist with problem solving and setting priorities 10.Promote an environment that enables patient safety, independence, quality of life and health 1.Practice nursing in a manner that the patient determines as being culturally safe 2.Read and adhere to service |
