5. Good embedded C language software skills in both an analogue and digital design environment with C++, GCC and Ecos skills a plus.
6. Prior wireless communications experience developing and supporting software for radio terminal products required.
7. Able to mentor junior level software engineers.
8. Any prior experience with layer 2 or layer 3 communications protocol stacks helpful.
9. Able to commit at least 3-5 years.
10. Has a good technical antenna to know when a proposed direction may or may not be the most appropriate one.

12. Willing to work in a relaxed and casual environment where you are just yourself and roll up your sleeves.
13. Able to liaise with and build good relationships with others outside of your group, including prior experience interfacing with hardware engineers.
primary duties :1. Lead a team comprised of several embedded software engineers who are part of the new and existing product development process for this global leader in land mobile radio technologies that is responsible for client's internal software applications.
2. Liaise closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing and Manufacturing to address all potential problems and assist with devising solutions prior to product release as part of your role.
3. Work with technology leaders to increase capabilities and performance of your team.
4. Ensure delivery of software projects executed across the team.
5. Assign and manage resources to meet the needs of the development programmes and stakeholders whilst balancing tactical and strategic needs.
6. Encourage innovation and fostering improvements in the way client does things.
7. Ensure that there are effective management processes for all team activities.
8. Create and maintain a healthy team environment.
9. Demonstrate passion and commitment to meet all the team’s objectives, engendering a similar passion within the team.
