Job Title: Gastrointestinal Surgeon Medical Doctor Doctors for Vietnam
Open to: All western qualified and trained MDs Doctors whom are currently board certified in Gastroenterology.   Must have worked in a hospital within three years of application date.

Location: Vietnam (Must be open to living in any part of Vietnam where vacancies exist)
Job Type: Permanent, Direct Hire with a Minimum One Year Commitment Required
Salary: Will match or beat your current compensation package
Timeline: The Hospital may want to bring you to Vietnam in order to prepare for your English exam or finalise your medical license details. The medical license can take three to
six months. Work visas take around three months.
License: The Employer will sort out your medical registration/license for you.
Work Status: The Employer will provide you the required documentation for you to apply for your work visa through the nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate.
Hours per week: 44
1 Lunch/Dinner allowance: Provided by Employer
2 Accommodation: Provided with full facilities or housing allowance
3 Annual Leave or Paid Vacation: 20 days per year, One national home-based day and 10 Vietnamese National Holidays
4 Air ticket: One return ticket per annum for you, partner and children whom live with you
5 Transportation in Vietnam: Taxi card or allowance provided
6 Emergency or Bereavement Leave: Three days leave and one air-ticket economy or coach class for you
7 Healthcare insurance: International Coverage
8 Dependent Education: Max US$1000 per month for each child of school age whom enrols in a school
9 Relocation Assistance: $500
10 Immigration Assistance in Vietnam: Provided by Employer
11 Tax (PIT- 35%): 35% personal income tax paid for by Employer
12 Medical License: Employer will assist with and pay for your medical license
13 English Language Classes and Exams: Employer will pay for Doctors to take their English language exam, if required. (Doctors aren’t required to speak Vietnamese as translators are
provided when required.)
14 Work Visa: Employer will reimburse these costs

This privately held healthcare organisation (Employer) in Vietnam provides primarily health care to expats who reside in Hanoi and other parts of Vietnam. They have plans to open 1,900 more hospital beds between now and the end of 2019. Currently, they have seven hospitals and two clinics with around 3,000 medical staff. Intention is to open a medical university before 2021. Doctors whom have some prior lecturing experience in a tertiary setting are particularly interesting to this organisation. Any prior research that may be applicable to their services and patients are of interest. All Doctors must speak fluent English. Translators are provided for Doctors whom see patients that speak a language other than English.

All Doctors are subject to a 90 days’ probationary period that is required in order to help prepare the legal paperwork, including licensure and work visas.

a) At least or five years’ experience in your specialty in a clinical or hospital setting;
b) Able and willing to commit a minimum of 12 months;
c) Must hold appropriate qualifications in your profession that enable you to gain your Vietnam medical license and work visa;
d) Must be fluent in spoken and written English;
e) Able and willing to work for a 90 days’ probationary period;
f) Excellent team orientated work skills;
g) Good patient facing skills;
h) Able and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment with team members from all over the world;
i) Relevant clinical and/or hospital experience;
j) Able and willing to self-evaluate your skill level per the Bondy Scale in the following procedures and techniques:

11 Surgical treatmen of anal fistula dessection of the sphincter above seton placement
12 Cholecystectomy to elimilate stones and biliary drainage
13 Choledochal cysts resection
14 Pancreatico-jejunal anastomosis with invaginating Jenunal “J”-Loop
15 Hepatic suture
16 Partial hepatectomy (lower lobes, left lobe)
17 Peritonitis surgery
18 Hemorrhoid surgical treatment: Milligan-Morgan, Ferguson, White Head, Toupet, stapled hemorrhoid, removal external hemorrhoid skin tags
