Why New Zealand
Generally speaking, Clinical Psychologists from the US who now work in NZ find working here to be far less stressful than in the States. Here are some comments from expat Clinical Psychologists now working in New Zealand:
Registration for most overseas Clinical Psychologists is reciprocal so you don’t have to sit an exam. It’s easy!
The vast majority of our Clinical Psychologists are part of our public health care, community based, mental health system and are paid via a national collective pay agreement. I’m happy to discuss salary and cost of living information with you.
Would you like to have a no-pressure, informational chat with me about the entire process from medical registration, to interviewing for a job, work visa and any other questions that you may have?
