We are looking for a Gastroenterologist from a Western country who speaks fluent English
Someone who has been working in a hospital setting for the past 12 months as this is a Vietnam government requirement.
At least 3 years of recent relevant experience working as a Gastroenterologist beyond their residency.
The salary will be net AFTER taxes (net) are paid by the employer, plus another $1,000-$2,000 bonus potential per month for performing CPT code procedures. This is based on revenue received from procedures that can translate into a higher salary. It depends on how many procedures the gastroenterologist performs, eg colonoscopies and endoscopies in house. Very occasionally there may be emergency procedures in a hospital.
Must commit to at last 2 years at the Ho Chi Minh City clinic.
Employer will pay for a flight home each year and the first 10 days arrival in an Air BnB/temporary housing. They do not pay for permanent housing, but it is very easy to find good housing and very affordable.
Will be offered full medical coverage for outpatient, but the clinic does not offer inpatient services. Therefore, it is recommended that the successful candidate secure health insurance for inpatient services. They have 19 nationalities who work at the clinic, that sees close to 30,000 patients per year who are mostly tourists and wealthy Vietnamese.
Candidates with school age children need to be aware that international school fees are very expensive; ie up to $30,000 USD per year per child.

This role will report to the Clinic Director.
Job Duties:
• Serve as the Gastroenterologist for the clinic for all English-speaking patients, both foreign visitors and native residents.
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
• Perform tests on patients, including blood work, colonoscopies, and endoscopies explaining the procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
• Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness.
• Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patients.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
• Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioners when necessary.
• Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
• Consult with or provide consulting services to other physicians.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of proven work experience as a Gastroenterologist or similar role.
• Expertise in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
• Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning.
• Relevant training and/or board certifications as a Gastroenterologist.
