Hawke’s Bay – a great place for families
Mental health services in Hawke’s Bay are centred around two large community teams, with a kaupapa Maori mental health service provided by an NGO partner and satellite teams in the smaller population centres. Within the service are Child and Family, Older Persons and Emergency Mental Health teams.

Consultation Liaison services are provided and the in-patient unit (22 beds) on the Regional Hospital campus in Hastings is in the process of an impressive redevelopment. A local residential addictions treatment service is provided in Napier and an opioid substitution programme is provided in both major population centres.

Mental health services work closely with primary care and NGO providers to create individual care packages for patients and some specialist services such as forensic care are provided on a regional basis.

We are looking for applicants interested in a full-time role. This is a great opportunity to develop your career, enjoy the benefits of a fantastic region and achieve a great work life balance.

Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the New Zealand Medical Council.

Minimum two years’ commitment is required. Must be fluent in English.
